I was pondering on what to write for this week’s entry. ..and then something very interesting happened to me. Those of you who live in apartment buildings will know what I’m talking about. This year as a sophomore I live in a dormitory called Kenefick. Kenefick is apartment/studio style living with a kitchen, walking closet, and bedroom/bathroom. Well anyway the interesting thing that happened to me today as I was standing in the elevator to take it up the 15th floor (yes, that is where I live).
I was standing in the elevator and a girl came running in. she leaned over to press the button, but when she looked at the panel, she found that the floor that I was going to was also the floor that she wanted to go to. Awkward! We stood there uncomfortably until the doors opened a few moments later. We both turned out the elevator, and walked to our room doors. It was at that point that I realized that she lived right next to me!! How terrible is it that on a floor with 18 girls, we haven’t even bonded or seen each other enough to know who lives right next door.
Im going to take this as a sign that I have to make a better effort to get to know that people who live around here. Between all the activities that I am involved with this year as well at the increase in the work load, I barely find myself in my room other than sleeping and maybe a bit of homework. What I like about Creighton is that the size is perfect for me. I like the small class size and the fact that faces around here become familiar before long. I’m sure in that case, it wont be to hard to find out who lives on my floor and get to know them a little better than I do now!

Until next week,
lianna
