Lianna NgHow are you all? I've definately been absent from this blog for a while. Taking a summer break, you could say. hehe. I've been doing well here in omaha. I think that that last you heard from me I was telling you about the house and the start of the new year. I completed my first week of school last week, but it was only a three day week and then I got a three day weekend for labor day. I was supposed to go to Minnesota with my roomates Molly and Mari to check out the state fair, which is a big deal there, but I didn't end up going because I was scheduled for work and I forgot all about it! instead, I just stayed in Omaha and spent some quality time with my hawaiian friends and my other roomate Rachel, who also decided to stick around for the weekend. I did a lot of grocery shopping and errand running and even found a cool international market place where I was able to buy supplies for mochi making (japanese desert) and some delicious bread called anerea bread which is an ethiopian flat bread with a texture like a sponge. We were told to eat it with something soupy and so we made a veggie stew. yum yum! the taste was like ricecakes sourdough! Other than that, settling in with my classes which I willl be sure to fill you in on later
