My faculty advisor truly is a part of my life and has become my “Creighton mom” on campus.
One of my best friends at Creighton is actually my Ratio Studiorum Advisor. The first time I talked to her was the summer before my freshman year and we instantly hit it off. During the year, I was able to talk to her about anything and everything, from the transition I was experiencing and the challenges it presented, to the issues I was having in anatomy class. She worked with my Ratio class to set up our visits to the hospital, worked with us to sharpen our study habits, and taught us how to be effective time managers.
I was really able to develop this great relationship with her because she knew exactly what I was going through and I knew that I could count on her for anything. She truly is a part of my life and has become my “Creighton mom” on campus.
The sense of community and support all over campus is very powerful and I know that I now have the tools I need to be a great nurse and eventually, a physican. I have so much to look forward to in the next three years!
