Creighton University has lots of places for students to log on, making it 5th in PC Magazine's Top Wired Colleges.

Technology for Living and Learning

Creighton University was recently ranked as the #5 Wired University by PC Magazine and the Princeton Review. Creighton won this award because of the wealth of student technology resources.

Paying for tuition online, registering for classes on-line and submitting a paper through your class's website are just a few examples of resources students use daily.

Lenovo laptopBuying a Computer

Whether you're a PC or a Mac, you'll find a laptop that's right for you at Creighton. Approximately 97% of Creighton students own their own computer. Creighton's Division of Information Technology (DoIT) has developed a Student Computer Purchasing Program that has attracted over 60% of incoming classes to purchase a mobile technology package through the Student Purchasing Program. The mobile technology package offers a PC or Mac laptop at a discounted price and worry-free computing for students and parents.

Labs All Over Campus

Students who want to leave their laptop in their room can get online at one of the Student Technology Labs. There are labs located in most residence halls, Skutt Student Center and several academic buildings. All Student Technology Labs are connected to the University’s centralized printing system. A nominal fee is charged per page for printing.

Wireless All Over

Wireless is available in many public spaces including all three libraries, the Skutt Student Center and the lobby of each residence hall. Notebook computers should have an 802.11a/b/g/n wireless card to access the wireless network.

Broadband in Your Room

At Creighton University, each residence hall room is equipped with high speed internet access and cable television. Each room has one or more cable modems that have four Ethernet ports so you and your roommate(s) can connect all of your internet enabled devices. For connection to the wired network you will need a 10/100 Ethernet adapter. The Student Service Desk can help install and configure your Ethernet adapter for connection to the network.
