Email & Jayspace
Your Creighton Email Account
Your Creighton e-mail account is waiting for you! This is a free service to all members of the Creighton community. Professors and offices at Creighton will use this account to contact you personally and send out official information, so be sure to use it regularly prior to arriving – daily when you are on campus! Starting now, all official notices concerning financial aid, roommates, and registration for classes will be sent to your Creighton e-mail account.
To access your account:
- Go to CUMail.
- Insert your user name (this is your Net ID).
- Insert your BLUE password
This is the same password you are using to access the Jayspace and The NEST. Your default password is “doit@” then the last four digits of your social security number (e.g. doit@1234 – password is case-sensitive) unless you have already changed your password using the instructions e-mailed to you in your welcome letter from the Department of Information Technology (DoIT). Your welcome letter from DoIT will also provide you with the user-friendly name they have assigned to your account (similar to FirstnameLastname@creighton.edu).
To change your password:
To change your BLUE password, log into AMI and select Change Blue Password from the right hand column.
Your password must be a minimum of 8 characters in length but longer is better. Please use a combination of letters, numbers and special characters such as $!@. Be sure to change case throughout the password. Passwords expire every 180 days. You will receive (2) reminder email messages (14 and 3 days) before your password expires.

Jayspace
There are many actions you will need to complete prior to enrollment. JaySpace will assist you in taking all of the necessary steps to enroll at Creighton. From joining our social network for admitted students to making your tuition and housing deposit to registering for classes–you can access it all through JaySpace.
When signing into Jayspace, you also sign into the NEST (Nearly Every Student Transaction). The NEST is the self-service application where you are able to handle transactions and have access to many features in your student account.
Here is a list of the NEST features to better assist you in understanding the access you will have to information 24/7 at Creighton:
Financial Aid
- Apply for Financial Aid
- Review the status of your financial aid applications
- Check status of required documents
- Review Loans
Registration
- Add or drop classes
- Display your class schedule
- Add your class schedule to your Outlook calendar
Student Records
- View Holds
- Display your grades and transcripts
Student Accounts
- View your Account Summary
- Sign up for Direct Deposit
- Pay tuition online using a credit card or electronic check
Student Health
- Waive your health insurance
Parent Authorization
- You can authorize your parent, guardian, sibling or others to view only information you approve without sharing your login and pin. This person may also be authorized to pay your tuition using a credit card or electronic check.
Signing into Jayspace for the first time
- Go to Jayspace.
- Step Two: Click on Admitted Student Login
You are asked to enter two things: 1) your user ID which is your Net ID and 2) your password. Your JaySpace password will be the same password you use to access your Creighton e-mail account and NEST. Your default password is “doit@” then the last four digits of your social security number (e.g. doit@1234 – password is case sensitive). Your User ID and password will be the same for anything you do in JaySpace, e-mail or the NEST.
- Step Three: You are now logged on to JaySpace
Feel free to view the different areas of JaySpace. New areas of access with relevant data will become available to you as you continue your journey toward enrolling at Creighton.
