Move In and Welcome Week
August 22 - 30

At Creighton, moving in could not be easier. We do it for you. Plus, you can enjoy refreshments to help keep your energy up for the unpacking. It's our way of saying "Welcome to Creighton."

But it's not just about moving in. It's also about your becoming part of the Creighton community. Your Beadle (sophomore mentor) and Welcome Week Guide lead you and 15-20 of your newest friends through ten days of activities to get you familiar with Creighton and to help you feel at home.  This group, which is your Ratio Studiorum class led by your  Preceptor (teacher) and Decurion (junior or senior assistant), continues to meet weekly throughout the fall semester.

After Move-in, Welcome Week begins with the first meeting of the Ratio Studiorium class on Saturday. Other events throughout the week include the President's Picnic, religious services, Call to Community, The Event, Lip Sync contest, Matriculation Ceremony/Dean's Welcomes, Jay Jam and many more.

Once classes start, you will not only know where to hang out and study on campus but have some new friends to study and hang out with.

Find out more information at the Student Services Welcome Week page.

Car-side cookie delivery is provided by staff and volunteers.Current CU students help unload the van of an incoming student.Students carry your things up to your new Creighton home.

You can help move-in go very smoothly if you:

  • Pack items in boxes of "carryable" size.
  • Label all boxes with your name and room number
  • Allow 1.5 hours to get from the end of the line to the front door of the Residence Hall.  This is the part that may tax your patience.  Bring snacks and a book!
  • Arrive Early!
