Creighton is the host school for the NCAA Men's College World Series. Creighton has one of the best venues for soccer with the addition of the Michael G. Morrison, S.J., Stadium on the east end of campus. Both Creighton's men and women's soccer teams have enjoyed successful seasons in the recent years. In the 2008 season, the men's team won the regular season title, and in 2007 the women's team won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship. In addition, the men's team has made 17 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.
Our basketball teams have a reputation of being some of the best programs in the Midwest. In 2004, the Women's basketball team clinched the Women's National Invitational Tournament championship, making themselves the first Bluejay squad in school history to win a national post-season tournament.
Men's basketball has created a reputation for itself of being another Top 25 team. During the 2006-2007 season, the Jays won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Jays have made seven NCAA appearances in the past ten years and have set a Missouri Valley Conference record of 11 straight post-season appearances.
The Jays' home court is at the Qwest Center Omaha, which opened in October 2003. In the last two years, men's basketball games attendance ranked in the top 15 of the nation, averaging 15,333 fans, and set a Missouri Valley Conference record total of 276,000 fans.
The baseball team has also seen success in recent years. The Jays were the Missouri Valley Conference tournament champs 2007 and have made nine NCAA regional appearances.
