Cost and Payment Options
Costs for the 2015 - 2016 Academic Year
|Tuition and Fees||$36,422|
|Room & Board||$10,294|
You will also need to consider the costs of books and supplies (about $1,200 per year), transportation from your home ($800 on average) and personal expenses ($2,000 on average). The return of the investment you make in your education will be measured over a lifetime, and at Creighton it will be a lifetime of professional and personal achievements.
Monthly Electronic Transfer (MET) Plan
The MET Plan is a term specific plan offering up to 6 monthly payments per semester offered by the Business Office. You will be able to choose the 10th or the 20th as your withdrawal date for your monthly payment plan to better suit your financial needs. Applications are mailed to students each spring. For further information, contact the Business Office, firstname.lastname@example.org or (402) 280-2292.
- Federal Work Study (FWS) is a need-based program. If FWS is awarded and accepted, we will assign you to a position on campus. The hourly pay rate begins at $7.25 and increases with grade-level advancement.
- University Employment is a non-need based on-campus work program through the Student Employment Office, which keeps a current listing of positions.
- The Career Center coordinates all off-campus employment opportunities.
Independent 529 Plan
Independent 529 Plan allows you to prepay tuition today that your child can later use at Creighton University. Creighton is among the hundreds of the private colleges participating in the program. Account holders prepay a percentage of tuition, up to 100 percent, on a tax-free basis and receive the value of that percentage of tuition when their child enrolls, regardless of the subsequent cost increase. Currently, there are over 5,000 account holders.
