Personal Interest/About me: I am the first Malaysian student Creighton has seen in over a decade. I graduated from Creighton in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I loved my time at Creighton so much that I decided to return for an MBA. I am also currently working as a graduate assistant in the Office of Admissions. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and trying out the local McDonalds of every new country that I visit.
Favorite activities on campus: The highlight of my Creighton experience was traveling to Rome with the Creighton Model United Nations team and meeting the Pope in person.
Interesting facts about Creighton/Omaha: Omaha is the #1 city for paid internships. Creighton has an excellent reputation of providing its students ample resources for academic and professional success. While I was an undergrad at Creighton, I held several internships at prominent Omaha corporations such as Tenaska (market risk), Alorica (finance/accounting), and Physicians Mutual (internal audit). Those experiences have opened up many doors of opportunity for me upon my graduation.
What I have to say about Creighton: Creighton’s strength, I think, lies in its community and in the Jesuit ideals it espouses. Creighton challenges everyone to be women and men for and with others. To an international student like me, it means a lot. I may have come from a different upbringing and culture but not once did I feel left out or unwelcome. I am the man that I have become in large part because the Creighton community genuinely cared for my success and happiness.
