"There is a drive within Creighton graduates that I don't see from other institutions. We push each other to become the best version of ourselves, both in and out of the classroom. It is rare to find a school where the students and faculty understand not only the importance of a rigorous education, but also the balance necessary for enjoying your college experience."

Do you have any special advice or tips for applicants?

  • Take your classes seriously, especially junior year. Your application should showcase your ability to be successful at Creighton.
  • Proofread your essay! Also, write about something that reflects you as an applicant. This is your only chance to share your unique voice, and I want to get to know you through your application.
  • Come into college with an open mind about what you want to study. There are many more areas of study at Creighton than you have been exposed to in high school, and many different paths to the goals you want to achieve.

What do you like about Omaha and what are your favorite secret spots? I love that there is always something new to do in Omaha. Some of my favorites include Monday Night at the Movies in Turner Park, walking around the Heartland of America Park next to Old Market, and seeing concerts at the many venues in town.

Favorite Omaha restaurants: Block 16, Hiro 88, M’s Pub, Plank, Ted & Wally’s, Mula, Amsterdam’s, Avoli Osteria, eCreamery, Pitch, Voodoo Taco, and Blatt (I really like to eat.)

Fun fact: I began volunteering with the Nebraska Humane Society a couple of years ago, and signed up to foster a dog. After a month of fostering, I was too attached to give him back, so I adopted him and am now a “foster failure.”
