"Creighton is such a special place because of the people here. We have such fantastic students on campus that are very academically motivated, but they also spend a great deal of time serving the community. Our professors truly care about the success of our students, both in and out of the classroom."

Do you have any special advice or tips for applicants? The best advice I could give is to really take advantage of the personal essay. This is a great opportunity for students to tell an Admissions Committee more about themselves. We do a very holistic review, and we take the time to thoroughly read each personal essay. We want to get to know our applicants better. So, please use spell check, have someone else read it over a few times, and make sure it’s as polished as it can be.

What do you like about Omaha and what are your favorite secret spots? I moved to Omaha, NE from Orange, CA during the summer of 2014. I have absolutely loved my time in Omaha. There’s a fantastic music scene (smaller indie bands to huge arena tours), great food (and many Gluten Free options, thank goodness), and awesome people. Omaha is a diverse and exciting city, so there are a lot of things going on at most times. My favorite ‘secret spot’ would probably be Benson. It’s not a secret by any means, but when families visit Omaha they usually just venture into the downtown area and Midtown Crossing. Benson is where a few music venues are located, there’s some great food, and the 402 Arts Collective is located there as well. It’s in a more “up-and-coming” area. Also, there’s no traffic here (in my opinion) , which is amazing.
