Due to the coronavirus outbreak and an abundance of caution, we are not hosting any group visits on campus at this time.
Creighton University welcomes chaperoned groups of high school students to visit our campus during the fall and spring semesters. We are happy to arrange group visits for high school age students from high schools, college access programs, and community-based organizations. Group visits are designed for a group size minimum of 15 and maximum of 50 students.
We offer group visit appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 9 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. The visit includes a campus tour and an admission presentation. Visits last approximately 2 hours. If one of the above days and times does not work with your group’s availability, we welcome your group to do a self-guided tour.
Please contact us at least, three (3) weeks before the desired visit date. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday during the fall and spring semesters. However, some dates (i.e. Admissions event days, University holidays, fall and spring break, midterm and finals weeks) may not be available. Due to high visitor volume, we are not able to offer Group Visits in the month of April. We also do not schedule group visits during the summer.
Admissions Presentation and Campus Tour
An admissions presentation will be led by an admissions counselor about Creighton’s history, campus life, academics, admissions, scholarships, and the financial aid process. Time will be available for general questions. This will last about 30 minutes. A walking campus tour will be led by a current Creighton student. Please encourage your students to dress accordingly and wear comfortable shoes. The tour will include prominent buildings and resources on campus, and will last approximately 1 hour.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate special requests including meals (groups can purchase meals on their own in our dining halls, see “Meal Options” below for details), transportation, special facility tours and overnight accommodations.
Lunch is not provided by the Admissions Office. If your group is interested in having lunch on campus, we would be happy to assist you in coordinating lunch in one of our dining halls. Please make note on the Group Visit request form. There is a funds verification process with our dining services that must be completed before your group’s arrival if cash is not being used.
If you need to cancel your visit, please let us know at least three (3) days in advance by contacting the Admissions Office at 402-280-2703 or email@example.com.
Chaperones and Reciprocal Respect
Creighton University Admissions Office policy requires groups to provide an adult chaperone for every 15 students visiting campus. We hope to provide your group with a meaningful visit. Creighton is committed to being an inclusive and welcoming community. Chaperones are asked to ensure that their students show the same respect for the university, students, faculty and staff.
Please plan to arrive to campus about 15 minutes before scheduled visit time so your group has enough time to park, use the restrooms, etc. Please be prompt so we can provide you with the full Creighton visit experience. Also, our tour guides enjoy when visiting student engage and have thoughtful questions.
We welcome many visitors through our doors daily at Creighton. If you anticipate your group may be late, please call the Admissions Office at 402-280-2703 as soon as possible, so we can plan how we might best be able to accommodate your group.
Make Your Group Visit Request
Register by completing the Group Visit Request Form below at least three (3) weeks before your desired visit date. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and time. Please have an alternate date in mind when you complete the form. You will be contacted within 2-3 business days regarding your request. Approved visit requests will be sent a confirmation letter with details about the visit including agenda, directions to campus, parking, where to meet, etc.
